A dream of togethernessTurned into a brighter messA faint sign my spoken bestNow, nowMake way for the simple hoursNo finding the time its oursA fate or it’s a desireI knowSo I was the lucky oneReading letters, not writing themTaking pictures of anyoneI knowSo let the sunshineSo let the sunshineSo let the sunshine let it comeTo [...]

Included some photos and video of last night. It seriously was one of my better nights since I’ve been in Japan. Perhaps it’s because they’ve been here longer, and thus had more time to begin to unravel the mystery that is Japan, but I feel like the 留学生 from last semester are far more interesting [...]

Fucking. Amazing.
Not a lot had to happen to make this night probably one of my most memorable in Japan thus far. Minimalist music paired with last semester’s 留学生 (exchange students) was a very, very good idea.
Fuck, I mean seriously. Oh, and Kacica. Pics/video later.
Goodnight!
The Things I’ll Miss:

To balance all the “shit-talking” I’ve done on Japan lately and it’s inhabitants, I’d like to take a quick moment to focus on what WILL be missed when I leave. Perhaps a bit premature (that’s what she said), but 9 weeks has already flown by and I’m left with the same distance to go. That [...]
How could I NOT miss home?

Checking my Google mail today, I was happy to receive an email from my friend Bailey back in California. After reading her email I was so euphoric and filled with laughter that I thought I’d attempt to share with you all why it’s hard NOT to miss my home. My friends are fucking awesome, plain [...]

Yep, that’s me. Japan is going. It is what I make of it and I’m finding ways to fine tune my experience and filter out/focus less on the negative aspects. I never quite expected though the reaction among my fellow ryugakusei in learning I have culture shock. It’s like Swine Flu to the Japanese, total [...]
The best thing since the morning after pill.

This has little to no relation to Japan except that I stumbled upon it on the internet today while living in Japan. This shit makes me realize Japan ain’t got nothing on European girls when it comes to the cute department. This band takes cute to a whole new modern/classy level. I’m obsessed with them [...]
Japan, not the Buta Influenza, will be the death of me.

Wow, I thought the rest of the world was blowing it out of proportion, but the amount of propaganda in Japan is INSANE! People are driving themselves mad with worry and over what? Something you probably WON’T get and if you do, the likelihood of survival is in your favor. And the mask obsession (you [...]

Godzilla Attacks Japan!

Just kidding. Actually, it’s Swine Flu, and it’s all around me. The Japanese goverment is on Stage 20: FREAK OUT and has shut down all school in my area for a week at least to avoid an outbreak.
I’m surrounded by crazy people. Help.
